Where can I buy psychological tests or components of tests?

Psychological tests, or their components, can be purchased from the publisher of the test or from suppliers or distributors of psychological tests. Students who need to demonstrate a test in class or administer a test for research purposes must purchase multiple copies of all forms required (e.g. questionnaires, answer sheets, record forms, profile forms etc.) from the publisher or the supplier of the test required.

Most test publishers offer a discount to students using their psychological tests for research purposes. Check the website of the test publisher for the discount policy before buying the test, or the components of a test, from a test supplier

To help with student research, supervisors can usually approve purchases of test required for the student's research project. The student completes the publisher's order form and the supervisor signs this. The tests are then paid for by the student, and the tests are usually sent to the student c/- the supervisor at the Bond address.

What qualifications do I need to buy psychological tests?

Publishers of psychological tests require a certain level of qualification before they will sell you a test. The levels of qualification required differ according to the test you wish to buy so it is important to read the qualifications required on the test publisher’s or supplier’s website before you try to order the test. Each publisher or supplier has a different code that they attach to each test to show the level of qualification required to purchase the test and the key to the codes are listed on the website.

e.g.
P =  psychologist
Mb =  graduate student in 4th year
C =  no special qualifications but training by the publisher required.
